Haryana On the third day of the farmers’ protest, the operation of 150 trains running from the Ambala division was affected. Citing security reasons, the Railways completely canceled 76 trains, while operating 56 trains on diverted routes. While 10 trains were canceled midway and eight trains were sent back to the destination station from the intermediate railway stations.

Passengers are facing a lot of trouble due to the cancellation of trains. Although Railways has decided to run trains through alternative routes including cancellation, passengers are facing a lot of problems due to delayed messages. Two such separate cases were seen at Ambala Cantt railway station on Friday.

While one decision of the Railways brought relief to the passengers, the other decision caused problems to the passengers. Train No. 04652 Amritsar-Jaynagar was being operated via Ludhiana-Dhuri, but now given the problems of the passengers, this train is being operated towards Ambala via Ludhiana-Sahnewal-Chandigarh, because in this train from Ambala About 400 passengers board daily. In such a situation, for the last two days, passengers have to go to either Ludhiana or Delhi.

On Friday, some passengers reached the station superintendent and told him that their train was from Ludhiana, but the Railways sent them a message to come to Ambala Cantt. He has reached here after spending Rs 150 on bus fare. Therefore, the difference should be explained between Ludhiana and Ambala Cantt. Citing railway rules, the station superintendent said that a refund will be given only if the entire ticket is canceled. Thus, refunds are not given at intermediate stations.

After this, the passengers went back. Some devotees reached Ambala Cantt Railway Station to go from Beas to Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib, but before that, their train 12716 Sachkhand Express had already left.

After this, the devotee reached the station master and informed him about the matter and said that on Friday morning itself, a message had come on his mobile that he would have to catch the train from Ambala Cantt station because of the farmers’ movement. The train will not run from Amritsar. So he took a taxi for Rs 11,000 and reached Ambala, but even there he did not find the train which had left some time ago. After this, he was made to fill the ticket refund slip.
